Union des Musiciens de Jazz (UMJ) is an association of musicians in the sector of jazz and improvised music. Since its foundation in 1992, about 1.500 musicians have become its members. UMJ aims at improving the conditions of creation, production, diffusion and the image of jazz music.

UMJ offers you three studios:

• Studio A
  With an area of 90 m² and the windows facing the city, this studio is intended for big bands.
  

Available on the spot:
- Piano: Yamaha C5 baby grand
- Drums: Sonor jazz (20′, 2×16′,12′,10′, cc 14′)
- Guitar amps: Fender Hot DeVille 410 (60W, tubes) and Roland Jazz Chorus JC40 (40W)
- Bass amp: Tube head Hartke LH-500 (500W) and speaker Hartke 4.5 B XL
- Sound system: Console Mackie 1604 VLZ PRO (16 entrees), reverb Lexicon Reflex, 2 front speakers Mackie Thump 15 Active, amp Yamaha P2700 (1000 W), 2 stage monitors Tannoy T12 (200-400W)

- Microphones SM 57/58 or AT 2010
- Vibraphone, marimba and congas
- A set of cymbals

• Studio B
  With an area of 25 m², it is previewed for small and medium bands.

- Piano: Yamaha U3 upright
- Drums: Gretch Catalina Jazz Club (18′, 14′, 12′, cc 14′)
- Guitar amps: Fender Hot Rod Deville 212 (60W, tubes) and Marsall Valvestate 8080 (80W)
- Bass amp: Dynacord 3002 combo and speaker (300W)
- Sound system: console Mackie ProFx 12 integrated reverb, 2 front speakers Mackie Thump 12 (500W RMS)

• Studio C
  With an area of 35 m² and natural light, this studio is perfect for middle bands and is equipped for all styles of jazz (jazz fusion, acid jazz, jazz funk…).

- Guitar amps: Vox AC15 C2 Célestion (15W, tubes), Marsall Valvestate 8080 (80W)
- Bass amp: Tube head Hartke LH-500 (500W) and speaker Hartke 4.5 B XL
- Sound system: console Soundcraft EFX8, integrated reverb Lexicon, 2 front speakers Mackie Thump 12
