Located on the 3rd floor of the Rockhal, the Rocklab is a space dedicated to pop & rock music and culture. Its task is to guide, inform and assist amateur and professional musicians and artists, as well as everyone interested by or active in the area of popular music in Luxembourg.

Rocklab features a Media Library, six rehearsal rooms, a dance room, a media library, a co-working space, two meeting rooms and a recording studio (Rockhalstudio). It organizes workshops and training sessions for musicians, bands and music professionals on a regular basis. In addition to this, several artist support packages (live preparation, release shows, project follow-up...) aim at the promotion, information and development of the local music scene. Rocklab is also part of the Multipistes Network with the aim to support and promote artists from and in the Greater Region. Rocklab also (co-) organizes several events at Rockhal, dedicated to different aspects of (creating and promoting) music.

Rehearsal rooms and dance room

Rocklab's six rehearsal rooms offer perfect conditions for creating and rehearsing your music. Each room is soundproof and equipped with a high-quality PA. Some are equipped with a drum set which bands can rent on demand, depending on availability.

The large dance room is equipped with a sound system and offers room for dance projects and interdisciplinary activities.

The Rockhal Club

The Rockhal Club is the perfect place for rehearsals and the simulation of live performance conditions. It is fully equipped and offers musicians and their technical staff professional working conditions.

The Rockhalstudio

The Rockhalstudio is situated in the heart of the Rocklab and is the ideal recording studio for all kinds of musicians and producers. From a simple demo recording to a professional production, it can offer you a large variety of different modules to fit your needs. Whether you are an ambitious amateur or a professional musician / producer, here you can find the perfect infrastructure for your project.

The Rockhalstudio is also directly linked with the Club of the Rockhal and can be used for high quality live recordings as well.

Media Library

Rocklab's Media Library offers a large choice of reference material and magazines about popular music. The current catalogue of 900 books and 50 specialised magazines contains biographies of all your favourite artists, books about the music industry, as well as articles revealing the secrets of recording and producing music.

Co-Working Space

Meet up with fellow bands & artists, plan your projects, work on your tracks or simply just daydream at Rocklab's co-working space. Equipped with computers featuring digital audio software (Ableton Live, Logic) and useful online resources (tutorials, workshops) and a specialized media library as well as a relaxed lounge area, this space is dedicated to those who need an environment to get their work done or inspiration triggered. And with Rocklab's offices right around the corner, there's always a helping hand waiting with counsel and information.

Meeting Rooms

Whether you would like to hold your regular band meeting or the general assembly of your association, retreat to a calm place to get some creative writing or the odd paperwork done, Rocklab offers you two meeting rooms for just that purpose. They come in two different sizes (capacity of 4 & capacity of 8 people) and invite you to work in a relaxed atmosphere.
